Dr Francis Yeoh

In a career spanning 30 years, Francis has been a research scientist, research institute director, internet start-up CEO, venture investor, professor and government policy maker.

He stepped down as the first CEO of the National Research Foundation (NRF) of Singapore in 2012 after more than 6 years.   While at the NRF, he initiated and implemented many national initiatives in research, innovation and enterprise, including large scale international research collaborations, national innovation challenges, and a national framework for innovation, comprising many schemes including proof-of-concept grants, early stage venture funds and technology incubators. 

Francis is presently Professorial Fellow and Chair for Entrepreneurship at the School of Computing, National University of Singapore (NUS), teaching courses on entrepreneurship and mentoring early stage start-up companies.

He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering, from Loughborough University and a Masters in Management from MIT.
